Linguistics Department welcomes VPUE interns
The Linguistics Department welcomes five VPUE interns this summer who will be working with Stanford researchers on a broad range of lingusitics topics. If you see some new faces around the department this summer, be sure to say hi!
- Aleeza Yu will be working with adjunct faculty member Jared Bernstein on Text Structure and Timing in Fourth-grade Oral Reading Performance.
- Leah Levin will be working with mentor graduate student Erica Yoon and faculty member Mike Frank on Children's understanding of goals behind polite speech.
- Khuyen Le will be working with mentor graduate student Manuel Bohn and faculty member Mike Frank on Common Ground in Language Learning.
- Lindy Clute will be working with mentor graduate student Chantal Gratton and faculty member Rob Podesva on Stance and power in group interviews.
- Olivia Li will be working with mentor graduate student Ignacio Cases and adjunct faculty member Lauri Karttunen on Extending a Data Base of Implicatives.
