Jurafsky, Kiparsky elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences

Congratulations to Dan Jurafsky and Paul Kiparsky for their recent election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS), one of the country's oldest and most prestigious honorary learned societies!They join the 15 other Stanford faculty members in their induction to the AAAS this year, among the 276 members of the new 2020 class.

 

They join other Stanford linguistics with this honor: John Rickford (2017), Penny Eckert (2011), Joan Bresnan (2004), Arnold Zwicky (1992), and Herb Clark (1982).
