Dan Jurafsky elected AAAS Fellow

A very big congratulations to our chair Dan Jurafsky, who has been elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)!

In October 2019, the AAAS Council elected 443 members as Fellows of the AAAS, stemming from a tradition from 1874 to recognize individuals for extraordinary achievements across disciplines.

The AAAS is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to “advance science, engineering and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all people.” The organization promotes science and technology research and applications, and works to enhance communication among and between scientists, engineers, and the public.
