Talking Black in America

Please join us on Monday, February 12 at 5pm, in the Oak West Lounge, Tresidder Memorial Union, for the West Coast premiere of Talking Black in America. The film showcases the history and symbolic role of language in the lives of African Americans and highlights its tremendous impact on the speech and culture of the United States. 

The film features numerous current and former Stanford faculty and students, including John Baugh, Renee Blake, Keith Cross, Sharese King, Mike Metz, and John Rickford. The screening will be followed by a Question and Answer discussion with Executive Producer Walt Wolfram and Associate Producer John Rickford. All are welcome!
