Stanford Linguists at SuB 29

Sinn und Bedeutung 29 (SuB 29) took place on Sep 17-19, 2024 at the Consorzio Universitario Mediterraneo Orientale in Noto, Italy. Several department alums presented talks or posters. Ashiwni Deo (Ph.D. ’06) gave a talk titled “Take my advice: The particle bara in Marathi (Indo-Aryan)”. Judith Tonhauser (Ph.D. ’06) was co-author on a talk titled “Projection without presupposition: A model of clause-embedding predicates” and on a poster titled "Accommodating the Question Under Discussion". Prerna Nadathur (Ph.D. ’19) presented a poster titled “(Non)factivity and causal inference in evaluative adjective constructions”.
