Stanford Linguists Attend Dagstuhl Seminar

Chris Manning, along with department alums Emily Bender (Ph.D ’01), Marie-Catherine de Marneffe (Ph.D. ’12), and Dan Flickinger (Ph.D. ’88) are participating in a seminar at the Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Center for Informatics from May 7 to 12.  The seminar, titled “Universals of Linguistic Idiosyncrasy in Multilingual Computational Linguistics”, was co-organized by alum Bill Croft (Ph.D. ’86) and includes researchers in NLP, linguistics and typology from 22 different countries.
