Stanford linguists at the 2018 Philosophy of Language and Linguistics Workshop

Earlier this month (April 6-7, 2018), three of our faculty members (Cleo Condoravdi, Beth Levin, and Dan Lassiter) presented papers at the 2018 CSLI Philosophy of Language and Linguistics Workshop, organized by Justin Khoo (MIT), David Plunkett (Dartmouth), and our very own Dan Lassiter. Several of our graduate students also participated as chairs for the discussions.

  • Beth Levin presented "Resultatives and causatives" - chaired by Prerna Nadathur
  • Cleo Condoravdi presented "Conditional imperatives and endorsement" 
  • Dan Lassiter presented "Probablistic language in indicative and counterfactual conditionals" - chaired by Ciyang Qing
  • and Sunwoo Jeong chaired a discussion of Jack Spencer's presentation "Relative truth, absolute correctness"
