Rickford Elected to the British Academy

Congratulations to Professor Emeritus John Rickford, who was elected a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy in recognition of his achievements in the humanities and social sciences.  The website describes his work as “Theoretical and descriptive aspects of variation and change in Caribbean Anglophone creoles and American vernaculars, especially African American English, and their implications for educational reform and criminal justice.”
