Look Who’s Talking: Stanford Alums at AIL2

Two Stanford Linguistics alums presented at the second Agency and Intentions in Language conference (AIL2), held virtually by Harvey Mudd College from January 12-14.

  • Thomas Grano (B.A. ’06) was an invited speaker at the conference; he gave a talk titled “In the Mood for Intention” (view the slides here).
  •  Prerna Nadathur (Ph.D. ’19) and Elitzur Bar-Asher Siegal presented a talk titled “Aiming at culmination: Causal models, event types, and the imperfective paradox” (view the abstract here).  She will be repeating the talk in the Construction of Meaning Workshop on Wednesday, January 26, at 9:30am.
