Internships at The Language Conservancy

A few internship opportunities opened up in projects with The Language Conservancy in Indiana, aimed at anyone that wants to gain more field experience in the documentation and analysis of indigenous languages of America.

According to their Linguist List post, the goal of these projects is to create extensive dictionaries, language learning textbooks, apps, and other media projects with consistent practical orthographies of the Acoma Keres, Crow, Apache, Ute, HoChunk, and Lakota languages. Intern work would include recording, cutting, and labeling audio, data entry from hand written notes, and additional tasks relating to the analysis and organization of data.
