The 40th Meeting of the West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics (WCCFL 40) is being hosted virtually by the Department of Linguistics, the department that hosted WCCFL 1 in 1982. The West Coast Conference on Formal Linguistics, or WCCFL (pronounced /ˈwɪkfəl/) is an annual linguistics conference, usually held in the spring at a university in western North America. Research presented at WCCFL can focus on any theoretical or formal aspect of natural language analysis, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, and their interfaces. WCCFL 40 includes a special session on Prosody, Focus, and Ellipsis.

There is an OSF repository of materials from the WCCFL 40 talks here.
